Open-ended Polyurethane Timing Belts
Open-ended polyurethane timing belts are standardly manufactured with steel tensile filaments, but in special cases these can be replaced with kevlar or stainless-steel ones. Their teeth and bodies are made of thermoplastic polyurethane which is characterised by its high dimension stability and wear resistance. Open-ended belts can be heat-sealed into loops of any length.

Application:
Open-ended polyurethane timing belts can be used practically in all industrial applications mainly in linear drives, conveyors and positioning and hoisting machinery.
Properties:
- high power transmission and long life span
- resistance to oils, petrol, benzol, UV radiation and ozone
- wear resistance, little or no maintenance required
- operation temperatures from -30°C to +80°C (dependent on use)
Cross-sections and length ranges::
Open-ended polyurethane timing belts are manufactured in metric cross-sections T and AT, as well as HTD and STD or in imperial cross-sections. These are always white for better recognition. On the other hand, belts in cross-sections CONTI SYNCHRODRIVE HTD and STD are black.
Open-ended belts are supplied in any length. Standard rolls are either 50 or 100 meters long.
Marking:
M 50T10 - 45m
M - open-ended belt, 50 - belt width in mm, T10 - belt cross-section, 45m - belt or roll length in metres
